Teams from across Dorset and the New Forest gathered for an evening of friendly competition and charitable giving at the Coles Miller Charity Quiz Night. Held at the Hamworthy Club in Canford Magna, the event raised over £1,500 for the Forest Holme Hospice, a cause close to the hearts of many Coles Miller staff.
This annual quiz night, traditionally organised by Coles Miller’s social committee, is open to both employees and local businesses, creating a wonderful opportunity for the wider community to come together for a worthy cause. Doors opened at 6:30 pm, and by 7 pm, the first round was well underway, led by professional quizmaster Ashley Hooper. Guests were treated to a classic chip butty as part of the ticket price – a perfect accompaniment to the evening’s fun!
The social committee, spearheaded by Kerry Hay and comprising members from all six of Coles Miller’s Dorset offices, worked tirelessly to make the event a success. "We’re incredibly excited to support such a fantastic local charity," said Kerry. "Forest Holme Hospice holds a special place within the firm, with many of our staff having personal connections to the incredible work they do."
Based in Poole, near Coles Miller’s head office, Forest Holme Hospice provides vital palliative care to the local community. Coles Miller has a long-standing relationship with the charity and takes great pride in being able to contribute to their mission.
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for the evening, including those who generously donated raffle prizes. Special congratulations go to Roger and Ruth's team, who claimed victory on the night! We’re also hugely grateful to Kirsty Perks and the Forest Holme Fundraising team for their invaluable support.
Thank you to everyone who helped us raise much-needed funds for Forest Holme. We're already looking forward to hosting the quiz again next year!
