Coles Miller commercial and civil litigation solicitor Patrick Herklots has been appointed Careers Sub-Committee Chair at Bournemouth & District Law Society.

“BDLS and its member firms have excellent connections with several schools in the area,” he said.

“The landscape for careers has changed drastically since the pandemic began, with the Solicitors Qualifying Examination now providing new ways to enter the legal profession – so it’s important that students, at an early age, understand their options.”

Patrick is also a committee member of the Bournemouth & District Junior Lawyers Division: “I will keep the BDLS actively involved with the BDJLD and Bournemouth University,” he said.

Two years ago, the then trainee solicitor Patrick beat lawyers from all over the country to win a Law Society essay competition.

He qualified as a solicitor in September 2021, specialising in commercial law, employment law, and disputes and litigation.
